Liège-Bastogne-Liège Weekend Package

Friday: Meet & Greet at Brussels Airport or arrive at your own pace, followed by a warm-up ride on the Iconic Amstel Gold Course

Start your weekend with a warm welcome at Brussels Airport, where our team will be waiting to greet you. Afterward, we’ll transfer you to the luxurious Hotel Van der Valk in Maastricht, your base for the next three nights. Upon arrival, our expert staff will assist with bike assembly, whether you’ve brought your own or are renting. We’ll ensure everything is perfectly adjusted for the days ahead.

Once settled, we’ll head out for a short, relaxed ride to explore the beautiful Limburg region. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner where our tour leaders will present the weekend’s itinerary, covering the routes, group riding dynamics, and evening plans. This is the perfect time to meet your fellow cyclists and prepare for the exciting days ahead.

Saturday: Ride the Legendary Liège-Bastogne-Liège Course

The Liège-Bastogne-Liège Challenge offers three course options, each testing cyclists’ endurance in the beautiful but demanding Ardennes region of Belgium. Participants can choose from 253 km, 155 km, or 79 km routes, with altitudes reaching up to 4,400 meters on the longest course. The event takes place one day before the professional race.

The challenge features some adjustments due to local restrictions on large cycling events, leading to a revised middle section of the route. Cyclists will still tackle iconic climbs like the Côte de La Redoute, Côte de Saint-Roch, and the legendary Côte de Bonnerue. New to the course are sections that include the Mur de Durbuy, Côte de Chambralles, and Côte de la Roche-en-Ardenne, among others. These additions offer fresh challenges while maintaining the race’s historical prestige.

The start and finish points remain in Banneux, and riders can expect to face a series of steep climbs that appear with relentless frequency, especially in the final kilometers, making this one of the toughest Spring Classics.

HOTEL

This hotel is set on the edge of Maastricht’s historic center, just off the A2 highway. It features fitness facilities, a indoor swimming pool and sauna area and three fine dining restaurants. Parking in front of the hotel is free of charge for guests. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.

Hotel Van der Valk Maastricht has spacious hotel rooms with a seating area, box-spring beds, flat-screen TV and work desk. Most rooms have a bath and a separate shower, and free toiletries are provided. The hotel offers an à la carte restaurant, a live cooking restaurant and a bar/brasserie. During warmer weather guests can relax on the terrace. Guests also have free access to the luxury wellness center that includes an indoor swimming pool with built-in whirlpool, 3 saunas, a cooling down area with rain shower and a relax room.

The Maastricht Exposition & Congress Center (MECC) is a 5-minute drive away. The bus stop on the opposite of the hotel offers direct connections to Maastricht Central Station and the city center.
